Tori & Bill: A Cinematic Chicago Summer Celebration

Capturing Tori and Bill’s August 27, 2022 wedding was a journey through some of Chicago’s most iconic and beautiful locations. From the historic charm of Old Town to the breathtaking views of the lakefront, every moment of their day was filled with elegance and joy.

Morning Preparations & Heartfelt First Looks

The day began with morning preparations at the parents’ home and the couple’s home, where we captured the delicate details as the beauty teams from Ramsay Marston Hair and DaniLou Beauty perfected the bridal party’s look. One of the most cinematic moments of the morning was the emotional first look between Tori and her father before departing for the church.

A Traditional Ceremony at St. Michael’s

The couple exchanged vows during a full Mass at the stunning St. Michael Catholic Church in Old Town, its historic architecture providing a grand backdrop for the beginning of their life together. Following the ceremony, we captured family portraits at the altar, including a special appearance by the couple’s beloved dog, Bowie.

Lakeside Portraits & Golden Hour

The wedding party then traveled by trolley to the lakefront near Theater on the Lake. Against the backdrop of Lake Michigan, we filmed the couple and their wedding party during golden hour, natural light, the breeze off the water, and the candid moments that make lakefront films sing.

An Elegant Reception at Theater on the Lake

The celebration continued at Theater on the Lake, where the space was transformed with unique vintage rentals from Chicago Vintage Weddings and decor by Atmosphere Events Group.

• The grand introduction: the couple made their entrance and went straight into a beautiful first dance.
• High-energy music: Ken Arlen’s Front of House band kept the dance floor full and provided the soundtrack for the night.
• Sweet details: an exquisite sweets display by Alliance Bakery, captured before the guests descended on it.
• The dining: a top-tier experience by Blue Plate Catering.
