The Morning on Michigan Avenue
Our cameras began rolling at the InterContinental Hotel on Michigan Avenue, capturing the quiet, nervous excitement of the bridal party preparing in their suites. One of the most cinematic moments of the day was the couple’s first look, staged against the hotel’s sophisticated backdrop before the group departed by trolley for the ceremony.
The Ceremony at St. Michael’s
The couple exchanged vows at the stunning St. Michael’s in Old Town, a full Catholic Mass framed by the historic church’s architecture and the intimate glances between Sarah and JD. Afterward, the trolley carried the bridal party to photo stops across the city, the newlyweds’ joy set against the Chicago skyline.
The Celebration at Café Brauer
The reception took place at the iconic Café Brauer, the century-old Prairie School landmark nestled in Lincoln Park. Our film showcases the transition from a breezy cocktail hour on the upstairs patio to a high-energy celebration in the Great Hall.
- The speeches: heartfelt toasts from the maid of honor, the best man, and the father of the bride during dinner.
- The sparkler moment: a choreographed dusk sparkler sequence outside Café Brauer, a glowing, high-impact visual with the lagoon and skyline beyond.
- The dances: Sarah and JD’s first dance followed by emotional parent dances that officially opened the floor.
