Tori & Bryan: A Timeless Notre Dame Celebration
There is something uniquely magical about a spring wedding at the University of Notre Dame. Tori and Bryan’s May 13, 2017 day was a masterclass in tradition, elegance, and heartfelt joy. From the quiet morning moments at the Morris Inn to the high-energy celebration in the South Dining Hall, every chapter of their story was filled with cinematic beauty.
The Morning
The day began with the bridal party’s preparations at Nicholas J Salon and the Morris Inn, where the air was thick with anticipation. One of the most touching moments captured on film was the father-daughter first look between Tori and her father Mick, a quiet instance of raw emotion before the grand ceremony began.
The Sacred Ceremony
The couple exchanged vows in the breathtaking Basilica of the Sacred Heart, one of the most beautiful churches in the Midwest. The film captures the solemnity of the Marian Devotion and the triumphant recessional of the new Mr. and Mrs. Scherer.
A Notre Dame Tour
We followed the wedding party across the iconic campus, capturing stunning visuals at the Main Building’s Golden Dome, the Grotto, and the tranquil lakes. A special trip to Saint Mary’s College provided a picturesque backdrop at Lake Marian for Tori and her SMC bridesmaids. And no wedding film is complete without a furry cameo: Maddie the dog joined us outside the South Dining Hall for a special “thank you” shot for the couple’s guests.
The Celebration at South Dining Hall
The reception kicked off with a grand entrance leading directly into Tori and Bryan’s first dance, and the evening was punctuated by moving toasts from the maid of honor, the best man, and the couple’s family, all set against the historic backdrop of the South Dining Hall’s East Wing. In a delightful twist on tradition, the couple skipped the cake for a donut cutting and a fully loaded donut table, a hit with every guest on the dance floor.
