Capturing Jennifer and Rock’s wedding at the enchanting Armour House in Lake Forest was a journey through a day of meticulous detail, deep family roots, and high-energy celebration, every moment framed by the historic estate and the warm glow of Italian bistro lights.

Morning Preparations & Personal Details

The day began as Jennifer and her bridesmaids arrived at the bridal suite, greeted by deli sandwiches and champagne, while our cameras focused on the details: the hanging Hayley Paige gown, the rings, and the calligraphed invitation suite as the florist and lighting team transformed the space. Rock and his groomsmen enjoyed lunch in their suite before prep photos, and a standout cinematic moment came when Jennifer stepped into her dress, a quiet, beautiful prelude to the ceremony.

The I-Dos and a Balcony View

The ceremony unfolded in the estate’s timeless setting to the strings of the Amethyst Ensemble, followed immediately by a celebratory cocktail portrait with the entire bridal party. As guests enjoyed shrimp cocktail shooters and mini beef Wellingtons, we captured a spectacular giant guest photo from the balcony, showcasing the scale and joy of the gathering.

A Night of Toasts and Italian Tradition

• The first dance: a romantic start to the evening.
• Family honors: heartfelt toasts from the father of the bride and a blessing from the father of the groom.
• A culinary experience: a multi-course meal with a lemon intermezzo, and Deerfields Bakery’s stunning cake served alongside a spread of family Italian sweets.

The Grand Finale

As the dance floor opened, the energy shifted into high gear. To capture the “exit” while the party was in full swing, Jennifer and Rock opted for a mock send-off with sparklers at 10:30 PM, a videographer’s dream for cinematic lighting, before the celebration carried on with late-night pizza and a final song well past midnight.
