Roey & David's The Peninsula Chicago Wedding Video

There is something truly timeless about a summer wedding in the heart of Chicago, and Rosemary (Roey) Hines and David Fuller’s celebration on June 18, 2016, was the epitome of elegance. As their videography team, 312 Film, we had the privilege of capturing every cinematic detail, from the quiet morning preparations to the high-energy dancing in the Grand Ballroom.

A Morning of Anticipation

Our day began splitting our team to cover both sides of the story. While we captured the bridesmaids getting ready at the Hines’ residence in Hinsdale, Artem moved to The Peninsula Chicago to document the groomsmen.

Some of the most moving footage from the morning came from the exchange of private letters. We filmed Roey as she read a message from David, followed by David reading his letter from Roey. These intimate moments provide the perfect emotional narrative for a wedding film.

The First Look and Ceremony

The couple shared a breathtaking first look on the iconic stairs of The Peninsula Chicago. Following a photo session with the bridal party near North Avenue Beach, we headed to St. James Chapel for the ceremony.

Before the “I dos,” we ensured David was mic’ed up to capture their vows perfectly. After the ceremony, the new Mr. and Mrs. Fuller were greeted by guests with a ribbon wand send-off before whisking away in a vintage car provided by Elegant Motoring.

An Unforgettable Reception

The celebration moved back to The Peninsula, where guests enjoyed cocktails on the Terrace accompanied by a jazz trio. One of our favorite details to film was the sneak peek of the Grand Ballroom, where the couple saw the stunning Kehoe Designs floral arrangements and decor before the doors officially opened.

The evening was filled with highlights for the camera: a grand entrance announced by Mark and Chris Fuller into the couple’s first dance to “You are the Best Thing,” heartfelt toasts from the Father of the Bride, Jerome Hines, and the Maid of Honor, Madeline Hines, and a Father-Daughter dance with a special transition from “My Girl” into “Love Grows (Where Rosemary Goes),” a perfect nod to the bride.

Arlen Music Productions kept the energy high, leading into a late-night bouquet toss and snacks, before the happy couple enjoyed their final dance of the evening, “This Will be an Everlasting Love.”
