The Story

Megan and Chad’s wedding was a masterclass in classic Chicago elegance. Their journey to the altar at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago was ten years in the making, a decade defined by shared laughter, Sprinkles Cupcakes, and a mutual love for their dog, Bodi. From Chad’s legendary six-hour drives just to spend a few more hours with Megan’s family to their “dating algorithm” that beat all odds, their story is one of genuine connection.

The weekend began with a rehearsal dinner at Spiaggia on Michigan Avenue, and on the morning of the wedding Megan got ready in the Ritz’s Presidential Suite surrounded by twelve bridesmaids. Before the ceremony came one of the most moving moments we have ever filmed: a first look with both fathers of the bride, Don and Jon, who later walked Megan down the aisle together and shared the welcome speech at the reception. As one of them said that night, she didn’t just find a partner; she attracted a “dream team” of friends and family who gathered to witness their vows.

The Ceremony & The Vibe

The ceremony was held “unplugged,” so every guest was fully present as Megan entered to Pachelbel’s Canon in D, with Bach’s Arioso for the processional and Handel’s Hornpipe from Water Music sending the newlyweds back up the aisle. Before joining cocktail hour, the couple stole a quiet, private moment together with champagne, a breath between the ceremony’s emotion and the celebration ahead.

Then the evening took off: a grand entrance to Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish,” a first dance to Michael Bublé’s “Everything” in Megan’s Vera Wang gown, toasts from both fathers, the best man (Chad’s brother Kyle), and maid of honor Taylor, a bouquet toss to the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe,” and a late-night DJ set by a close friend of the couple that kept the dance floor full until two in the morning.
