Cici & Vincent’s Wedding at the Art Institute of Chicago

Cici and Vincent’s Modern Art Masterpiece: A Cinematic Wedding at the Art Institute of Chicago

Cici and Vincent’s May wedding blended the historic grandeur of Chicago with the sleek, modern lines of the Art Institute of Chicago, a journey through some of the city’s most iconic spaces.

Morning Elegance at the Palmer House

The day began at the Palmer House Hotel, our team splitting up to capture the groomsmen’s energy alongside the delicate details of the day: the intricate lace of Cici’s dress, the exchange of rings, and the quiet moments of bridesmaids helping the bride into her gown.

Art, Architecture, and Aerials

The couple’s first look took place in the Art Institute’s South Garden, its lush greenery a vibrant contrast to the museum’s stone facade. We took advantage of a dedicated filming window for scenic and aerial drone shots of the Art Institute and the Chicago skyline, and captured a private session in the AIC Art Galleries, framing the couple among world-class art.

A Whimsical Ceremony in Griffin Court

The ceremony took place in the light-drenched Griffin Court, Cici entering to a rendition of “I Was Made for Loving You” by Tori Kelly ft. Ed Sheeran. The real showstopper came at the exit: as the couple walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of Coldplay’s “Paradise,” guests launched paper planes into the air, a playful, high-energy moment that looked stunning on camera.

A Grand Finale on the Nichols Bridgeway

The reception in Terzo Piano and on the Bluhm Terrace mixed heartfelt toasts with high-energy dancing, opening with a first dance to “Sweetness in Starlight” by Matt Wertz. The night’s hero shot came later: a private session for the couple on the Nichols Bridgeway, city lights shimmering behind them as fireworks lit up the sky.
