Ariel & Daniel’s Jewish Wedding at Morgan Manufacturing

Ariel & Daniel: A Cinematic Summer Celebration at Morgan Manufacturing

On a beautiful June Saturday in 2018, we had the pleasure of capturing Ariel and Daniel’s high-energy, sophisticated wedding, a black-tie celebration that began at the Thompson Hotel and filled Morgan Manufacturing with candlelight and music.

The Story

The day began at the Thompson Hotel, where a bustling bridal party of thirteen bridesmaids filled the suites with anticipation through hair and makeup. Ariel and Daniel shared their first look at the hotel, a quiet, intimate moment before the whirlwind, then boarded a 29-passenger bus with the wedding party for a photo and video tour of the city’s iconic landmarks.

The Atmosphere: Black Tie in an Industrial Cathedral

The celebration moved to Morgan Manufacturing, the West Town industrial-chic space transformed for the evening with amber and soft candlelight by Frost, clear lucite chairs, and elegant navy accents, proof that a warehouse can wear black tie beautifully.

The Ceremony

The ceremony blended tradition and modern elegance: a private ketubah signing on the mezzanine, then vows beneath a draped chuppah as a trio of keyboard, guitar, and percussion set the tone.

The Celebration

The Gold Coast All Stars, a 15-piece band, kept the dance floor packed all night.

  • The grand entrance: a high-octane arrival to OneRepublic’s “Feel Again.”
  • The first dance: a romantic moment to Boyce Avenue’s “In Case You Didn’t Know.”
  • The parent dances: Ariel and her father to Billy Joel’s “Vienna,” and Daniel and his mother to Carole King’s “Child of Mine.”
  • The Hora: a highlight of the night, with the bride, groom, and both sets of parents lifted in rented armchairs, the most comfortable Hora we have ever filmed.
  • The finale: Chicago-style hot dogs, New York soft pretzels, and a surprise Good Humor ice cream truck at midnight.

The Creative Team

It was an honor to document the beginning of Ariel and Daniel’s journey, not just an event, but a cinematic experience filled with love, tradition, and an unforgettable party. Browse more of our Jewish wedding films, or see another Morgan MFG celebration.
