Kaitlin & Timothy: An Urban Vintage Love Story

Set against the industrial-chic backdrop of Chicago’s Fulton Market, Kaitlin and Timothy’s August 26, 2017 wedding was a masterclass in urban vintage elegance, planned by Chicago Vintage Weddings and blending modern aesthetics with timeless, classic touches.

Morning Preparations at the Ace Hotel

Our cameras began rolling in the stylish suites of the Ace Hotel, capturing the quiet, nervous excitement as the beauty team from Sonia Roselli Studio finalized the bridal look. Cinematic highlights included the intimate moment of Kaitlin dressing with the help of her mother and maid of honor, and the dapper groom’s final preparations with his best man.

The I-Dos

The ceremony took place in the Ace Hotel’s first-floor event space, with live music from Parkwest Strings thickening the atmosphere. We made sure to catch Timothy’s expression as he saw Kaitlin for the first time, a moment the planner carefully guarded until the prelude faded and the processional began.

Urban Portraits & Trolley Rides

Following a private moment for the newlyweds, the party moved to the hotel’s 6th-floor terrace for portraits, and then came one of our favorite sequences: the wedding party boarding a classic Chicago trolley, laughter and celebration rolling through the Fulton Market streets toward the reception.

Rooftop Magic at Morgan’s on Fulton

The celebration shifted to Morgan’s on Fulton, where a rooftop cocktail hour offered guests stunning views of the Chicago skyline.

The decor: stunning floral arrangements by Flor Del Monte and custom calligraphy by Reenie Rose.
The traditions: a sweet cake cutting followed by heartfelt speeches that brought both tears and laughter.
The party: an all-gender bouquet toss and a high-energy dance floor fueled by Style Matters DJs.
Sweet ending: a cupcake station and a late-night s’mores station as the urban evening cooled down.
