Morgan Manufacturing Wedding Guide
Morgan Manufacturing is Chicago’s industrial cathedral: a vast historic manufacturing building on the edge of Fulton Market, with soaring timber, brick, and steel that swallow amber uplighting and candlelight whole. It scales from elegant to enormous, hosts black tie as comfortably as boho, and after three weddings filmed here, it remains one of our favorite rooms in the city to light a camera in.
Morgan Manufacturing Wedding Films
Watch two of the three weddings we filmed here:
Ariel & Daniel’s black-tie Jewish wedding, with an armchair Hora and a midnight ice cream truck.
Megan & Matt’s industrial-chic celebration with a “Blackbird” entrance and rooftop portraits. And see Alex & Kevin’s modern wedding, from a candlelit aisle to an affogato-fueled after-party.
The Spaces
The venue’s spaces flow like a film set: grand main halls for ceremony and reception, a mezzanine that gave one of our couples a private ketubah signing above the room, a Green Room for dramatic bridal entrances, and rooftop access for night portraits under the Chicago sky. Draping, lighting, and greenery transform the industrial bones into whatever the couple imagines, we have seen it wear navy black tie, boxwood-and-farm-table warmth, and palm-lined candlelight.
Ceremony Options
All three of our couples married onsite, and the room flip is seamless. The industrial acoustics carry live music beautifully; we have filmed everything here from acoustic Beatles processionals to 15-piece bands.
Photo & Video Locations
The building itself is a portrait studio of brick, steel, and mezzanine angles, with the rooftop as the finale. Beyond the doors, the Kinzie Street Bridge, Fulton Market’s murals, and downtown’s classics, the Art Institute gardens were a stop for two of our three couples, are all minutes away.
Filming Weddings at Morgan Manufacturing
Big industrial rooms reward planning: we expose for the amber-and-candlelight palette the venue wears best, position for the long processional sightlines, and always scout the mezzanine, the overhead angle on a first dance here is worth the climb. Three weddings in, we know where the light falls and where the party peaks.
FAQ
Is Morgan Manufacturing the same as Morgan’s on Fulton?
No, and couples mix them up constantly. Morgan Manufacturing is the grand industrial event house on North Morgan Street; Morgan’s on Fulton is a separate rooftop venue nearby. We film at both.
How many guests can Morgan Manufacturing hold?
It is one of the larger event venues in the city, comfortably handling big guest lists; the events team can match a configuration to your count.
Is it a good venue for a Jewish wedding?
Wonderful: we filmed a full chuppah ceremony, mezzanine ketubah signing, and an armchair Hora here. Browse our Jewish wedding films.
