On Saturday, October 15, 2022, Kelly Jo and Matt celebrated a high-energy, deeply elegant wedding in the heart of Chicago. From the quiet morning moments at The Peninsula to a whirlwind tour of the city’s most iconic landmarks, their film captures the sophisticated urban charm of a classic Chicago love story.

Morning Preparations

Our team began filming at The Peninsula Chicago, documenting Kelly Jo and her bridesmaids as they prepared for the day, the intimate morning shots that capture the anticipation and the intricate details of the bridal party’s preparations.

The Urban Backdrop

We joined the couple on their party bus for a cinematic excursion to Milton Lee Olive Park and the Wrigley Building, filming alongside the photography team as the couple posed against the sweeping architecture and lakefront views of the city.

A Sacred Ceremony at Saint James Chapel

The ceremony at Saint James Chapel provided a stunning, traditional setting, with a procession to “Canon in D” and Kelly Jo’s grand entrance to “Winters.” A highlight of the film’s narrative: the couple’s departure from the chapel in a classic vintage car, heading back to The Peninsula for the evening’s festivities.

Golden Hour & Celebration

As the sun began to set, we captured golden hour portraits before moving into the Grand Ballroom. The reception was a masterclass in energy:

• The room reveal: a private first look at Yanni Design Studio’s floral work in the Grand Ballroom.
• The first dance: a romantic moment to “Dance with Me.”
• The party: a high-octane performance by Rod Tuffcurls and The Benchpress that kept the dance floor packed all night.
