Kelly & Tim: A Stunning Chicago Celebration at Café Brauer

From the modern skyline views at the Westin River North to the historic charm of Lincoln Park, Kelly and Tim’s wedding day was a masterpiece of Chicago elegance and high-energy celebration, and we were there to capture every heartbeat of it.

The Morning: Getting Ready

The day began at the Westin River North, buzzing with anticipation as Kelly and her bridesmaids prepared in the suite while Tim and his groomsmen had their boutonnieres pinned ahead of the big reveal.

The First Look & Portraits

One of the most intimate moments of the day was Kelly and Tim’s first look, followed by a trolley tour of the city with stops along the river and the lush grounds of Lincoln Park Zoo, iconic backdrops for the couple’s portraits just steps from their reception.

A Scenic Open-Air Ceremony

The ceremony took place at the Foreman Pavilion, a beautiful open-air setting in Lincoln Park. The air was filled with the sounds of Moeller Music, and in a truly stirring moment, a bagpiper performed for the bridal processional. After Kelly and Tim said “I do,” they shared a joyful receiving line with their parents before guests were led to the Café Brauer loggia for cocktails overlooking the lagoon.

The Reception: Dinner & Dancing in the Great Hall

The celebration moved into the breathtaking Great Hall of Café Brauer, opening with a grand entrance as the family and bridal party descended the staircase to cheers.

• The first dance: Kelly and Tim took the floor immediately following their introduction.
• The toasts: heartfelt words from the best man, the maid of honor, and the father of the bride during dinner.
• A special surprise: the couple led a “Happy Birthday” tribute to the father of the groom.
• The entertainment: electric energy from the band Wedding Banned, plus a surprise rap performance from one of the guests.
• Late-night treats: Chicago classics, hot dogs and DQ Blizzards, fueling the dance floor until the couple’s spectacular sparkler exit.
