Nathan & Risha: A Grand Multi-Day Cinematic Experience

We had the distinct honor of documenting Nathan and Risha’s vibrant, multi-day wedding journey. From intimate family rituals to a grand ballroom reception, our cameras captured every colorful detail of this spectacular celebration across Chicagoland.

Day 1: Artistic Mehndi at Danada House

The festivities began at the historic Danada House in Wheaton, where we captured the intricate four-hour application of Risha’s Mehndi by Kamini Barodia, Nathan’s family presenting traditional gifts to Risha in a poignant moment of family union, and joyful evening dance performances set against Yanni Design Studio’s elegant decor.

Day 2: Vibrant Garba at Bolingbrook Golf Club

The celebration moved to the Bolingbrook Golf Club Grand Ballroom for an evening of music and dance: the symbolic lighting of the deeva by Nathan and Risha to open the Garba, choreographed performances from the moms and cousins on both sides, and a spectacular finale, an 8-minute fireworks show on the terrace followed by high-energy Raas and Bhangra that lasted late into the night.

Day 3: Intimate Home Traditions

The following day focused on the heart of the family, with coverage of the groom’s home events in Aurora: the preparatory rituals and the quiet moments before the grand wedding day.

Day 4: The Grand Wedding & Reception

• The Baraat: a high-energy procession with smoke-effect sticks and a choreographed performance by Nathan and his family.
• The ceremony: beautiful outdoor vows on the Bolingbrook lawn, with our favorite shot of the week: Risha arriving at the aisle in a golf cart driven by her brother.
• The Vidaai: the emotional farewell as the couple departed in a decorated car.
• The reception: the transformed ballroom hosted a grand introduction, heartfelt speeches, and spectacular performances by the wedding party and cousins.
