Winter Elegance in the Windy City: Alex & Paul’s Iconic Chicago Wedding

Alex and Paul’s January wedding paired the historic architecture of Saint Joseph’s Church with the gold-leafed grandeur of The Hilton Chicago, a celebration of love, family, and city charm.

Morning Preparations at The Hilton Chicago

The day began at the Hilton, where Alex and her bridesmaids enjoyed a relaxed morning of hair and makeup in the Bridal Suite while Paul and his groomsmen prepared nearby. The couple chose not to see each other before the ceremony, letting us focus on each of their individual journeys: detail shots of the gown, personalized bouquets from Anthony Gowder Designs, and nervous smiles before heading to the church.

A Traditional Ceremony at Saint Joseph’s

The ceremony took place at Saint Joseph’s Church with a full mass and communion, giving us sweeping wide shots of the altar alongside intimate close-ups of the vows. Afterward, the entire 26-member wedding party, 11 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen, piled into a 36-passenger limo bus for a festive photo tour around the city.

The Grand Ballroom Reception

The celebration moved to the Hilton’s Grand Ballroom for a 335-guest reception with electric energy.

The grand entrance: the drapes opened to introduce the new Mr. and Mrs. Evans.
The toasts: heartfelt speeches from the Father of the Bride, two Maids of Honor, and two Best Men.
The party: the Greenlight Band kept the floor packed following the couple’s 9:00 pm first dance.
Late-night vibes: the bouquet and garter toss, plus late-night snacks at 10:30 pm.
