A Team Invincible: Aimee & Chase at the Deer Path Inn

Some love stories feel like they were written in the stars long before the first date. For Aimee and Chase, the connection traces back to their fathers, who were best childhood friends, leading some to jokingly call their union an “arranged marriage.” After years apart, their fairytale truly began when they reconnected over a New Year’s Eve midnight kiss. As described during their reception: Chase is the visionary, Aimee is the execution, and together they are a team.

The Morning Rituals

Their January 28, 2017 wedding day began with a unique split: the groomsmen headed out for a morning hunt, while the bridesmaids enjoyed a relaxed morning of getting ready at the Deer Path Inn. Before the ceremony, the couple shared quiet, emotional moments reading letters to one another, capturing the enormity of feelings that words often fail to describe.

The Ceremony and the Saber Arch

The couple and their guests walked to the nearby Church of St. Mary for a service filled with heartfelt vows: Chase promised to always strive to be a better man, while Aimee vowed to be the “Batman to his Robin” and to tackle life’s challenges as an “unstoppable team.” As the newlyweds exited the church, they were honored with a traditional saber arch recessional, a nod to Chase’s background with the United States Air Force Academy.

The Reception at Deer Path Inn

The celebration returned to the Inn, where the atmosphere shifted from solemn tradition to joyous festivity.

• Heartfelt toasts: guests heard about Aimee’s “heart of gold” and perseverance, and how Chase has grown into a respected “man’s man” who serves as a “clear path” for those following in his footsteps.
• Dancing the night away: a first dance medley of “This Kind of Love” and “Dancing in the Moonlight,” with the energy staying high through four sets of live music and DJ performances.
• The after-party: for those not ready to let the night end, the celebration continued late into the night at a pub after-party.

Videographer’s Note

Filming Aimee and Chase was a study in capturing a “treasure of life.” From the glimmer in Chase’s eyes when the church doors first opened to the adventurous spirit they both share, every frame of this wedding reflected a love that is “just the start.” It was an honor to document the day this invincible team officially began their shared future.
