Adler Planetarium Chicago – Mina & Ammar
Mina & Ammar: A Celestial Celebration at the Adler Planetarium
Mina and Ammar’s wedding on June 9, 2019 was a breathtaking celebration set against the iconic Chicago skyline at the Adler Planetarium, a day of family, tradition, and a love story written in the stars.
The Morning of the Big Day
The day began with preparations downtown, where our team captured the intimate moments of hair and makeup alongside the gentlemen’s get-together before the couple headed to the lakefront.
A Starlit First Look
The couple shared their first look at the Adler Planetarium itself, the skyline across the water making a stunning cinematic backdrop for their first sight of each other in wedding attire, followed by portraits with the wedding party along Chicago’s lakefront.
The Ceremony
The evening ceremony, officiated by Ammar’s cousin Mo, began with the elegant strings of Quartet Parapluie, from Canon in D to Mendelssohn’s Wedding March for the flower girls. Mina was escorted down the aisle by her brother Ali, while Ammar walked in with his parents. At the heart of the film are the vows, above all Ammar’s moving promise to Mina: “one lifetime with you could never be enough.”
The Reception & Celebration
- The first dance: Cinderella’s “So This Is Love,” a perfect fit for a fairy-tale setting.
- Heartfelt speeches: a toast from Ammar’s father, and from Ammar himself, “the happiest man in the world” to be spending his life with Mina.
- The grand entrance: after a quick outfit change for Mina, the couple re-emerged with a high-energy entrance that opened the dance floor for the rest of the night, with DJs keeping the celebration alive.
