Kehoe Designs + 312FILMS: Event Décor Across Six Chicago Weddings
Some vendors we spotlight have become fixtures in our recent work. Kehoe Designs is different: we’ve filmed six weddings built on their design work since 2016, spanning ballrooms, tented backyard ceremonies, and a five-day South Asian celebration. Few Chicago event design companies have that kind of range, and fewer still keep delivering at that level across nearly a decade of our own filming.
About Kehoe Designs
Kehoe Designs opened as an 800-square-foot studio in 1996, founded by Tom Kehoe with a focus on the luxury event market. Nearly three decades later, the company operates from a 256,000-square-foot design facility in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood with more than 230 employees, offering in-house floral design, custom fabrication, furniture, lighting, and technical production under one roof. In 2015, Kehoe opened its own venue, The Geraghty, named in honor of Tom’s mother, Mickey Geraghty Kehoe. The company holds a perfect 5 out of 5 rating on The Knot across 22 reviews, with couples repeatedly citing the team’s ability to translate a loose collection of inspiration photos into a fully realized room.

The Weddings We’ve Shared

- Shivani & Kiran’s five-day South Asian wedding – decor across the Sangeet at Crystal Gardens, Navy Pier, and the reception at the Sheraton Grand Chicago
- Stephanie & Michael’s Highland Park micro-wedding (2020) – chuppah and decor for an intimate ceremony under a tent on the family’s grounds
- Sarah & Colin at The Drake & Saint James Chapel (2021) – lush emerald-and-white florals for the Gold Coast Room reception
- Meagan & Nick at Saint Clement & The Peninsula Chicago (2022) – floral and decor for the reception
- Carli & Sean at St. James Chapel & The Old Post Office (2023) – floral and decor for the reception in the historic halls

What Kehoe Designs Brings to a Wedding Film
A design team operating at Kehoe’s scale can do something smaller florists can’t: build an entire environment, not just a centerpiece. Chuppahs, hanging installations, lighting that shapes an entire room, custom furniture, all working together so that when a couple sees their space for the first time, the reaction is unmistakable on camera. That range shows up in the list above: a backyard tent, a Beaux-Arts ballroom, a five-day multicultural celebration, all handled with the same level of craft.
If you’re planning a Chicago wedding and want a design partner capable of transforming an entire room, not just decorating it, get in touch with 312FILMS, and consider Kehoe Designs for the vision that will fill every frame.
