City Chic & Heartfelt Moments: Michelle & Jared at the Ivy Room

There is something truly magical about a wedding in the heart of the city, and Michelle and Jared’s celebration at the Ivy Room was no exception. From the quiet morning preparations to the high-energy dance floor, every moment of their day was filled with intentionality and love.

The Morning Of

The day began with hair and makeup for Michelle, her mother Julie, and her sister Melissa. While the ladies prepared, our team captured Jared’s morning at home before he headed to the Ivy Room to prepare for photos with his family. One of the most intimate moments to film was the couple’s first look of the reception room, capturing their reactions to seeing their vision come to life before the guests entered.

A Ceremony to Remember

The ceremony featured a beautiful processional, heartfelt readings, and the exchange of vows and rings. As the sun began to set, the couple transitioned into a lively cocktail hour while we captured footage of their combined families in the ceremony space.

Reception Highlights & Emotional Tributes

The reception kicked off with high energy, featuring the wedding party introductions and the ceremonial cake cutting. During the first course, guests were treated to a video presentation played on the Ivy Room’s AV system, a cinematic touch sharing the couple’s journey.

The evening was punctuated by moving speeches from Julie Kong, Michelle’s mother; Logan, Jared’s brother and Best Man; Melissa, Michelle’s sister and Maid of Honor; and a final thank-you from Michelle and Jared themselves.

Dancing the Night Away

The dance floor was a highlight of the night, beginning with the couple’s first dance. This was followed by a Mother & Daughter dance and a deeply touching Memorial to Dad dance, honoring the memory of Michelle’s father. The DJ then opened the floor to all guests, and the celebration continued until the final song at midnight.

Michelle and Jared’s wedding was a perfect blend of modern elegance and deep-rooted family traditions. We were honored to capture the sights and sounds of this unforgettable day at the Ivy Room.
