Capture the essence of a quintessential Chicago summer wedding through the lens of Meaghan Woelfel and Joe Bendure’s unforgettable day on August 14th, 2015. From the historic grandeur of Holy Name Cathedral to the lush, garden-inspired reception at Galleria Marchetti, every moment was a testament to timeless elegance.

Morning Preparations & The First Look

The day began at the Westin River North, where both Meaghan and Joe prepared for the festivities in their respective suites. At 12:30 PM, Meaghan stepped into her dress before heading to the Westin RN Courtyard for a private first look with Joe at 1:00 PM.

A Grand Ceremony

The wedding party traveled via a classic Chicago Trolley to the breathtaking Holy Name Cathedral. The ceremony commenced promptly at 2:30 PM, featuring a full processional that included eight pairs of bridesmaids and groomsmen, followed by the flower girl and ring bearer, and finally, the bride’s grand entrance.

Iconic Chicago Backdrops

Following the ceremony, the couple and their wedding party took to the streets for a photo and video tour of the city’s most iconic locations. We captured footage at Olive Park, North Avenue Beach, and the LaSalle Street Bridge, utilizing the city’s architecture and skyline as a backdrop.

An Elegant Celebration

The evening transitioned to Galleria Marchetti, where guests enjoyed a cocktail hour starting at 6:00 PM. The reception was filled with heartfelt moments, including a welcome speech from the Father of the Bride and toasts by the Maid of Honor and Best Man. One of the highlights of the night was Meaghan and Joe’s first dance to “You Are the Best Thing,” followed by a Father/Daughter dance.

The night concluded with a high-energy open dance floor provided by DJ Chicago, celebrating a day produced by the team at LOLA Event Productions.
