A Chicago Riverfront Romance: Brittney & Gary’s Wedding Film

The Morning Preparations

The day began at the Swiss Hotel on Upper Wacker Drive, where Brittney and her bridesmaids prepared for the festivities. Our cameras captured the intricate details, the dress, the rings, and the quiet, joyful moments of hair and makeup, while Gary and his groomsmen arrived to prepare for the big reveal.

The First Look & Iconic Backdrops

In the lush Swiss Hotel garden area, Brittney and Gary shared a private, emotional First Look. Following this intimate moment, the couple and their bridal party explored some of Chicago’s most iconic landmarks for portraits, including the Lyric Opera, the Federal Building, and the Monroe Bridge.

A Grand Entrance

One of the most breathtaking highlights of the day was Brittney’s arrival at the ceremony. She traveled from the hotel to the venue in a horse and carriage, arriving just in time to walk down the aisle.

The Ceremony at Rivers

The couple said “I do” during an outdoor ceremony at Rivers Restaurant, a riverfront restaurant directly on the Chicago River (the venue has since closed). With a backdrop of the city’s soaring architecture and the gentle flow of the river, the setting was nothing short of spectacular.

Sunset and Celebration

As the sun began to set, we captured additional portraits of the newlyweds around the Rivers property, taking advantage of the golden hour light. The evening transitioned into a high-energy reception featuring:

• A grand announcement of the bridal party.
• Romantic first dances under custom lighting.
• Traditions including the cake cutting, bouquet toss, and garter toss.
• Non-stop dancing as DJ Matt Toure kept the energy high into the night.
