Aylin & David: A Rainy Spring Wedding from Oak Brook to Lombard

Aylin and David’s wedding moved across three locations in a single day, morning preparations at the Westin Lombard, a ceremony at The Drake Hotel in Oak Brook, and a reception in Harry Caray’s Ballroom back at the Westin. It was a gorgeous, rainy spring day, and we were there for all of it.

Morning Preparation & First Look

Coverage began at the Westin Lombard at 8:00 AM, with the bridesmaids getting ready in the bride’s hotel room while the groomsmen prepared down the hall. Once dressed, Aylin and David shared a first look before boarding a party bus for the ten-minute ride to their ceremony venue.

Ceremony at The Drake Hotel, Oak Brook

The 3:00 PM ceremony took place off-site at The Drake Hotel in Oak Brook, followed by an hour of family portraits and a 45-minute photo excursion across the local area with the wedding party.

A Ballroom Reveal and Turkish Celebration

Back at the Westin Lombard, Aylin and David met their planner at the entrance to Harry Caray’s Ballroom for an exclusive first look at the decorated space before cocktail hour. Grand entrances followed, with a joint welcome speech from Aylin and her father, toasts from the Matron of Honor and Best Man woven between courses, and a first dance that opened the dance floor for the rest of the night.
