Diana and Kyle’s September wedding blended classic Chicago elegance with deeply personal storytelling, from a Michael Jordan Suite first look to vows at the Chicago History Museum.

A Morning of Anticipation

Preparations began at the Ambassador Chicago and Hotel Lincoln, with one of the day’s most breathtaking moments captured on the balcony of the Ambassador’s Michael Jordan Suite: the couple’s first look, filmed with a drone for a grand aerial perspective.

Iconic Chicago Backdrops

The bridal party boarded a trolley for portraits across some of the city’s most photographed landmarks: the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool, the Art Institute’s South Garden, the Wrigley Building, and the honeycomb structure in Lincoln Park.

The Ceremony: Love and Resilience

The ceremony at the museum was filled with raw emotion and laughter, with vows reflecting on the couple’s engagement in Iceland: after a long, freezing hike, they found everything closed and shared a single cookie for dinner, a night Diana called the best of her life. The processional played an instrumental version of Coldplay’s “Yellow,” with Diana’s entrance set to Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love.”

An Unforgettable Reception

A grand group portrait on the museum’s stairs led into dinner and dancing in the gallery.

The first dance: “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne.
Local flavors: Portillo’s cakes, Stan’s Donuts, and a custom donut wall.
A special tribute: a mother-son dance to “Celebration,” the same song Kyle’s mother danced to with her own father at her wedding.
