Some of our favorite projects come from couples we’ve already filmed a wedding for. A baby announcement is a different kind of story than a wedding day, shorter, quieter, and usually shot somewhere personal, whether that’s out on the water or at home in the kitchen, but it carries the same weight: a real moment a couple wants to hold onto.

Real Announcements We’ve Filmed

Ken & Valerie, whose wedding we filmed at Saint Clement Church and Trump Tower Chicago, announced their baby news out on Lake Michigan aboard a Wendella boat, weaving in throwback shots from their wedding day. Brittney & Gary, whose riverfront wedding we filmed at the now-closed Rivers Restaurant, announced Baby Aupont’s arrival at home, with their dogs delivering the news to the couch.

These projects work best when they stay personal. Rather than a generic reveal, we build the video around something true to the couple, whether that’s a place tied to their wedding day, a pet, or a small ritual at home. It’s usually a shorter, more intimate shoot than a wedding day, but no less real.
